Until relatively recently, nothing in ConfigMgr was real-time and there simply was no instant gratification – ConfigMgr was still “slow-moving software”. This was intentional and completely by design. However, since the introduction of ConfigMgr 2012 SP1, real-time features have been slowly introduced into the ConfigMgr “toolbox” giving us what we now have in ConfigMgr CB which is more than capable of enabling real-time management of systems in any environment from small to big. This session will explore these features, how they are implemented under the covers, and how to make use of them in an environment. Included items of interest will be client notification, configuration items, and scripts (hooray scripts).
